Gym Junky is a brand new fitness cafe opening soon, and we're looking for an experienced, passionate Barista to join our founding team.
Built around healthy food, speciality coffee, protein shakes and a strong sense of community, Gym Junky is more than just a cafe it's a lifestyle brand dedicated to helping people fuel their bodies and build better habits.
As we prepare to open our doors, we're looking for a friendly, enthusiastic Barista who takes pride in every cup, delivers exceptional customer service and thrives in a fast-paced cafe environment.
What We're Looking For
- Previous barista experience is essential
- Confidence preparing espresso-based coffees to a high standard
- Experience steaming and texturing milk consistently
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- A positive, friendly and professional attitude
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Excellent attention to cleanliness, organisation and presentation
- Knowledge of food hygiene and allergen awareness
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- An interest in fitness, health and wellbeing is a bonus
Desirable Experience
- Latte art
- Speciality coffee experience
- Till/POS systems and cash handling
- Food preparation and cafe experience
- Opening and closing procedures
- Experience working in a fast-paced cafe, restaurant or hospitality environment
