Overview
We are seeking a skilled Veneer Splicer Operator with joinery skills to join our manufacturing team. This role involves precise fabrication and assembly of veneer components, ensuring high-quality standards are maintained throughout the production process. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, experience and a solid understanding of materials handling and tooling. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in fabrication, warehouse operations, or assembly to develop their skills within a dynamic environment.
Duties
- Operate veneer splicing machinery KUPER with precision to ensure seamless joins and high-quality finishes
- Set up and programme machinery
- Perform other fabrication tasks as required for joinery applications
- Handle materials efficiently within the warehouse environment
- Conduct basic measurements and calculations using fundamental maths skills to verify dimensions and tolerances
- Assist with materials handling, including loading and unloading raw materials and finished products
- Maintain a clean, organised work area adhering to safety standards and operational procedures
Requirements
- Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, or woodworking environments; warehouse experience is advantageous
- Knowledge of materials handling processes within a manufacturing or warehouse setting
- Basic mathematical skills for measurements, calculations, and quality control checks
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail in a fast-paced production environment
- Physical ability to handle materials safely and efficiently throughout the shift
