Hours of work: Monday – Thursday (term time only)
14.45pm – 17.45pm

Job Description:
*Help with the day-to-day running of the after school club
*Liaise with Management daily
*Liaise with the school daily and create a positive working relationship
*Handle and manage cash payments
* Assisting with the day-to-day running of the After School Club, including setting up and clearing up.
* Preparing snack, drinks and tea in line with club’s Healthy Eating Policy.
* Supervising play opportunities with children.
* Contributing towards planning and preparation of craft activities and assisting children with these.
*Ensuring the children have a fun, enjoyable and exciting experience in club.
Qualifications: A level 2 or 3 is preferable but willingness to complete this is also considered
Current First Aid and Food Hygiene Certificates an advantage.
Experience:
Experience with children age 3 – 11 preferred and experience of play work a definite advantage.
Rate of pay:
TBC per hour, dependent on qualifications and experience.
The candidate must be confident in working in an after school club with daily duties such as organising paperwork, dealing with parents, working closely with management and creating a positive professional relationship with Y Bont Faen Primary School . We are searching for someone who will be a lively, enthusiastic, a self-motivated person who is able to work both as part of a team and on their own initiative. They must be able to get on well with, and respect all children and adults, must be prepared to ‘muck-in’ with all tasks and must have a good understanding of safety awareness and risk assessment. They must be willing to undergo relevant initial and on-going training and DBS checks.
Two references will be required at interview stage.
