At Muddy Boots Nursery, we are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated **Preschool Room Leader to join our team. We believe in the power of nature-based play and are committed to providing high-quality care that gives every child the best possible start in life.
The Role
As our Preschool Room Leader, you will be the driving force behind our preschool setting. You will lead by example, creating an environment where children feel empowered to explore, take risks, and connect with the natural world.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and Inspire:Manage and mentor a team of practitioners to ensure the delivery of exceptional care and education.
- Champion Outdoor Learning: Embed our nature-first philosophy into daily practice, ensuring children spend meaningful time outdoors in all weathers.
- Create a Homely Space: Design and maintain an inviting, warm, and "home-from-home" indoor environment that sparks curiosity and provides a calm, nurturing base for children to return to after their outdoor adventures.
- High-Quality Provision: Oversee the planning and implementation of a creative, play-based curriculum that meets the individual needs of every child.
- Partnership with Parents: Build strong, trusting relationships with families to ensure a collaborative approach to each child’s development.
- Safeguarding: Maintain the highest standards of safety and welfare, acting as a role model for best practice.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience: Proven experience in an early years setting, with a strong understanding of the EYFS framework.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and support a team.
- Passion: A genuine, infectious love for outdoor learning and a desire to make a lasting, positive impact on children’s lives.
- Qualifications:Relevant Level 3 qualification (or above) in Childcare/Early Years.
- Vision: A forward-thinking mindset and a desire to challenge the status quo in early years education.
