Job Purpose
We are looking for a pro-active paralegal to provide high‑quality and professional legal support to the Head of Legal and wider business, with a focus on commercial contracts, project documentation, regulatory compliance and risk management within a technical engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Review and negotiate commercial agreements including consultancy agreements, NDAs, collateral warranties and framework agreements.

Draft and review other legal documents including legal letters and deeds of variation.

Maintain the contract databases and internal knowledge libraries.

Support project teams with contract queries and provide considered guidance.

Assist with managing insurance-related documentation.

Conduct legal research including commercial, construction and regulatory matters.

Assist in drafting internal compliance guidance and policies and monitor updates to applicable regulatory requirements.

Assist with early-stage dispute management liaising with insurers and external counsel.

Provide ad-hoc legal advice and guidance, as may be required from time to time.
Qualifications and Experience

A legal qualification such as LLB, LPC, SQE1 or equivalent.

Experience working as a paralegal, preferably within a construction, engineering, infrastructure or a commercial/technical environment, although this is not essential.

Legal experience in contract drafting and contract negotiation.

Experience in a client-facing role, ability to communicate professionally with clients.

Proficient in Microsoft Office.
