About the role
We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Senior Care Worker to join our small, supportive, family-run domiciliary care company.

You will be an important part of our care team, helping us to maintain and deliver an excellent standard of care to our clients while providing guidance and support to our care staff.
About you
We are looking for someone who:
- Has solid experience working in a care environment.
- Preferably has previous supervisory experience, either within care or in another role.
- Ideally holds a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care, or is willing to work towards this qualification.
- Is caring, reliable, professional and approachable.
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Is confident supporting and mentoring other members of staff.
- Can work independently while also being a positive member of a small team.
- Is flexible and willing to participate in our out-of-hours on-call rota.
- Has a genuine commitment to providing high-quality, person-centred care.
Key responsibilities
As a Senior Care Worker, your duties will include:
- Being an active member of our care team and delivering an excellent standard of care to our clients.
- Mentoring and supporting care staff in their day-to-day work.
- Conducting care staff spot checks and providing constructive feedback and support.
- Conducting client care reviews under the direction of the Registered Manager or Deputy Manager.
- Supporting the management team to maintain high standards of care and service delivery.
- Being part of the out-of-hours on-call team, supporting staff working in the field and responding to client queries and requests.
- Where necessary, providing cover for unexpected staff absence.
- Escalating concerns or issues appropriately to the Registered Manager or Deputy Manager.
- Promoting a positive, respectful and supportive culture within the care team.
What we offer
- £15.20–£18.80 per hour, depending on experience, responsibilities/tasks and time of day.
