About the Role
Welcome to Treasure Chest Indoor Play! We are a bustling, family-run soft play centre where family fun is serious business. We are looking for a mature, proactive, and highly experienced Centre Supervisor to join our team.
In this role, you’ll lead our fantastic floor staff by example and help us maintain the high standards of safety, cleanliness, and stellar customer service our guests love. This isn’t a seasonal role or a casual entry-level position, you’ll be a vital part of our core team, responsible for delegating tasks, opening and closing the centre, and keeping things running smoothly in a fast-paced environment.
Strict Application Criteria – Please Read Before Applying!
Because we value your time and want to protect our management team’s scheduling, we do have a few non-negotiable requirements for this role. We gently ask that you only apply if you match all of the following:
- Mandatory Weekend Working: Weekends are our absolute busiest times, so you will need to work every weekend as part of your core hours. In return, your scheduled days off will be fixed during the week. Please do not apply if you are unable to work both Saturday and Sunday each week.
- Proven Supervisory Experience: You’ll need a minimum of 1–2 years of direct supervisory, team leadership, or duty management experience under your belt (ideally in hospitality, leisure, or retail). If you have experience training staff, that’s a huge plus!
- No September Educational Commitments: This is a permanent, year-round position that requires consistent midweek daytime availability alongside weekends. Because of this, the role is entirely unsuitable for students returning to or starting school, college, or university this September.
- Total Scheduling Flexibility: You’ll need full flexibility to work a schedule across weekdays, every single weekend, and all school holiday periods.
- Local Candidates Only: You must live locally in the Crawley area, so you can always make it on time for those crucial opening shifts.
- Confident with H&S and Policies: You need to be comfortable communicating warmly but professionally with both adults and children, and fully capable of firmly (but politely!) enforcing centre rule, like our age limits and safety policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Shift Lead: Take the reins during your shift, delegating tasks to the team and making sure the centre stays immaculate, safe, and welcoming.
- Operations & Cash Handling: Manage opening and closing procedures, including facility security and cash handling.
- Lead by Example: This is a very hands-on role! We need someone with great energy, alertness, and a genuine "can-do" attitude.
- Team Mentor: Train, motivate, and guide our junior staff to deliver the best customer service possible.
- Customer Care: Efficiently handle customer queries and keep the floor organized during our high-energy peak weekend sessions.
What We Offer
- A permanent, secure contract with a consistent weekly schedule (20–30+ hours per week).
- Days off during the mid-week period on a rota basis, so you can plan your life.
- A supportive, friendly, and structured family-business environment where you are truly valued.
