Edinburgh Sheriff & JP Court is seeking up to five Administrative Officers to join the Civil Department on a fixed-term basis. You will play a key role in supporting the administration of justice by processing documentation for the All Scotland Sheriff Personal Injury Court (ASSPIC) and helping to ensure timely access to justice for those who have need to use this court.
What you’ll do:

Open and accurately distribute Personal Injury Mail
- Register initial writs/applications
- Register defence documentation including Notices of Intention to Defend and Defences
- Lodge Documentation electronically on ICMS system
- Process Confidential Specification of Documents
- Process Personal Injury Action Settled (PIAS) Forms
- Undertake Court preparation activities
- Remit Accounts of Expenses
- Respond to telephone enquiries relating to Personal injury actions.
- Complete mandatory e-learning modules within required timescales

We are recruiting for up to 5 Administrative Officers on a fixed term basis. These positions are office-based, starting in mid to late September until the end of March 2027.
