We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Chef De Partie to join our culinary team. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in our kitchen, ensuring that meals are prepared efficiently and to the highest quality. This position requires the ability to work in a well organised kitchen environment while collaborating with other kitchen staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
- Assist with the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, marinating, and seasoning.
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen workspace, including equipment and utensils.
- Monitor stock levels of ingredients and assist with inventory management.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
- Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety practices.
- Participate in daily kitchen operations, including cleaning tasks at the end of shifts.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary environment is prefered.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with various cooking techniques and equipment used in meal preparation.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team setting.
- A genuine passion for cooking and providing excellent service to guests.
