Night Operations CoordinatorJob Overview
Port Express Ltd is looking for a Night Operations Coordinator to support our overnight container haulage operation.
This is not a planning role. You will be responsible for monitoring live operations, supporting drivers, managing delays and breakdowns, liaising with ports and customers, and ensuring a smooth handover to the day team.
Key Duties
- Support drivers throughout the night.
- Manage delays, breakdowns and operational issues.
- Liaise with ports, terminals and customers.
- Monitor VBS activity and transport movements.
- Escalate significant operational or compliance concerns.
- Produce detailed handover reports for the day operation.
Requirements
- Experience in container haulage, transport or logistics.
- Good understanding of UK port operations and VBS systems.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and remain calm under pressure.
- Good IT and administration skills.
