Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated gang of Cladding Installers to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing various types of cladding materials, ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your expertise within the construction industry, working on diverse projects that require precision and craftsmanship. The position is paid and suitable for individuals with a strong background in construction-related trades. All candidates must have IPAF, a valid and in date CSCS card and a grasp of English.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret installation drawings to ensure accurate application of cladding systems
- Measure, cut, and shape cladding panels using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment
- Install cladding materials securely onto building interiors and exteriors, ensuring compliance with safety standards and project specifications
- Work at heights on roofs or scaffolding, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Use roofing techniques to ensure weather-tight installation of external cladding
- Handle heavy lifting safely when manoeuvring large panels or materials into position
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring all tools and materials are stored correctly after use
Skills
- Proficiency in reading schematics and technical drawings
- Knowledge of construction principles, including roofing, fabrication, carpentry, masonry, plumbing, and heavy lifting techniques
- Ability to work safely at heights on roofs or scaffolding platforms
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently on-site
- Good physical fitness with the ability to perform heavy lifting and manual labour over extended periods
