Role Description
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Pre-registration Trainee Pharmacy Technician to join our team and train towards becoming a fully qualified Pharmacy Technician. This is a two-year apprenticeship post designed to support you through the nationally recognised qualification required to register as a pharmacy technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC). You’ll work closely with our small, supportive team and gain hands-on experience across all areas of community pharmacy.
What You’ll Do
- Support the pharmacist and wider team in the safe, efficient, and effective running of the pharmacy
- Dispense and supply prescribed medicines with accuracy and care
- Offer excellent customer service, providing advice and assistance where appropriate
- Maintain stock control and help manage pharmaceutical ordering systems
- Learn to handle prescription queries and liaise with healthcare professionals
- Undertake all required training, coursework, and assessments as part of your pre-registration programme
What We’re Looking For
- A genuine interest in pharmacy, healthcare, and helping others
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work accurately under pressure and as part of a team
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and take on feedback
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Previous experience in a pharmacy setting is a plus but not essential
- GCSE Mathematics and Science
