We are looking for a reliable, organised and enthusiastic Part-Time Baker to join our team at our Anniesland base.
This is a hands-on baking role preparing fresh baked goods for sale through Launch Coffee. We are looking for someone with strong baking skills, good attention to detail and the ability to work consistently to a high standard. The role would suit someone with experience in a bakery, café, coffee shop, production kitchen or hospitality setting who enjoys creating fresh, appealing products for customers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing and baking fresh products for sale in Launch Coffee, such as cakes, cookies, muffins and other coffee shop-style bakes.
- Following agreed recipes and maintaining consistency in taste, size, quality and presentation.
- Planning daily and weekly baking quantities in line with café demand.
- Decorating, portioning and finishing baked goods to a high standard.
- Helping develop new bakes, seasonal specials and customer favourites.
- Following food hygiene, allergen, labelling and health and safety procedures at all times.
- Monitoring ingredient stock levels and highlighting when items need to be reordered.
- Keeping the baking area clean, organised and well stocked.
- Minimising waste through good planning and careful use of ingredients.
- Working independently to ensure fresh products are ready for service each day.
- Delivering baked goods to the coffee shop.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Previous experience in baking, café baking, bakery work, pastry, catering or a similar food role.
- Confidence preparing baked goods to a consistent standard.
- A good understanding of food hygiene and safe kitchen practices.
- Good attention to detail and pride in presentation.
- Full, clean & current driving license.
- Reliability, punctuality and good organisation.
- The ability to work to deadlines and follow recipes and production plans.
- A positive, practical approach and the ability to work independently.
A Food Hygiene certificate is preferred. Experience baking for a café, coffee shop or retail setting would be helpful but is not essential.
This is a part-time, daytime role within a friendly small team and a purpose-led coffee shop where profits support charitable work in Glasgow.
