Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Cleaning Operative to join our team on a part-time basis, working 16 hours during term time. This role involves maintaining high standards of cleanliness across The Energus Building In Lillyhall, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for staff and visitors. The ideal candidate will be reliable, detail-oriented, and experienced in office cleaning.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces in designated areas
- Maintain cleanliness of toilets, kitchens, and communal spaces to meet health and safety standards
- utilise commercial cleaning equipment and products efficiently and safely
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap dispensers, and toilet rolls as needed
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards to management promptly
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times to ensure a safe working environment
- Adhere to the organisation’s cleaning schedules and protocols to ensure consistent standards of hygiene
Skills
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work is highly desirable
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently and thoroughly
- Good organisational skills to prioritise tasks effectively within allocated timeframes
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision whilst maintaining high standards
- Reliable with a professional attitude towards cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning operations is advantageous
