Are you passionate about home-style cooking and making a real difference to others? We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Cook to join our warm and friendly team at our 24-bed residential care home.
About the Role
As the Cook, you’ll be responsible for preparing nutritious, well-balanced meals for our residents, many of whom have specific dietary needs. You’ll play an important role in supporting their health and wellbeing by providing freshly prepared meals served with care and attention.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and prepare daily meals in line with dietary requirements, preferences, and nutritional standards
- Maintain a clean, safe kitchen environment following food hygiene regulations
- Manage stock control, food ordering, and kitchen documentation
- Work collaboratively with care staff to ensure mealtimes are well-coordinated and enjoyable
- Cater for special occasions, themed days, and residents' birthdays
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience working as a Cook, ideally in a care or similar setting
- A good understanding of dietary needs, allergens, and food safety
- Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or above preferred)
- A caring, reliable, and flexible approach to your work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
