Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced K9 Dog Handler to join our security team for night shift operations. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in K9 handling and security operations to safeguard a venue in West London. Your approach will ensure a proactive security environment, utilizing your skills in surveillance, loss prevention and emergency response. This position offers an opportunity to play a vital role in maintaining a safe and secure environment through active patrols, K9 detection and advanced surveillance techniques.
Duties
- Conduct regular patrols of the facility and surrounding areas
- Utilise trained security K9 to perform detection tasks
- Respond swiftly to emergencies/alarm system notifications
- Maintain detailed logs of patrols, K9 deployments, surveillance observations and incident reports
- Support access control procedures where required
Skills
- Proven experience as a K9 dog handler, preferably within security or related fields
- Strong knowledge of surveillance techniques including alarm/monitoring systems
- Ability to perform loss prevention activities effectively whilst maintaining professionalism
- Excellent observational skills with keen attention to detail during patrols and surveillance activities
- Strong communication skills for reporting incidents clearly and collaborating with team members
- Ability to remain alert and energetic during long shifts whilst managing multiple responsibilities
- Must be physically fit with the capability to handle dogs during patrols effectively
- Ability to work night shifts on a regular basis (previous experience working overnight is advantageous)
Pay: £15.00-£16.00 per hour
