Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Joiner to join our team, responsible for a variety of construction and carpentry tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fabrication and assembly, with proficiency in using hand and power tools. This role requires a hands-on approach to joinery, roofing, and other construction-related activities.
Duties
- Fabricate and assemble wooden structures and fixtures according to specifications.
- Perform joinery tasks including cutting, shaping, and joining materials.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete projects.
- Conduct roofing work as required, ensuring structural integrity and weatherproofing.
- Engage in heavy lifting as necessary to move materials and equipment.
- Assist with construction painting tasks to finish projects to a high standard.
- Carry out plumbing and masonry work as needed within the scope of joinery projects.
- Provide electrical experience when applicable, assisting with installations or repairs.
Requirements
- Proven experience in joinery, carpentry, or related fields.
- Strong skills in fabrication and assembly techniques.
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools essential for construction tasks.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Familiarity with roofing practices is advantageous.
- Knowledge of construction painting techniques is preferred.
- Experience in plumbing, masonry, or electrical work is a plus but not mandatory.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
