Role Overview
Center Healthcare is seeking an experienced Complex Care Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 overnight support to a young person with complex health and behavioural needs in a home-based setting. This is a rewarding opportunity for a compassionate, calm, and experienced individual who is confident in supporting epilepsy management, autism, and behaviours that challenge, while promoting safety, dignity, and quality of life.
You will work under the supervision of our nurse-led clinical team, delivering safe, person-centred care in line with an agreed care plan.

Essential Requirements
- Previous experience in complex care
- Experience supporting individuals with epilepsy and autism
- Experience managing behaviours that challenge
- Ability to work confidently in a home-care environment
- Calm, compassionate, and reliable approach
- Strong commitment to maintaining dignity, privacy, and independence
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver care in line with the individualised care plan
- Support seizure management and provide epilepsy first aid
- Administer medication, including emergency medication where required
- Monitor for changes in health and escalate concerns appropriately
- Support emotional wellbeing and provide reassurance during periods of distress or anxiety
- Support personal care, hydration, nutrition, and toileting needs where required
- Promote safety within the home environment, including overnight monitoring
- Build a positive and trusting relationship with the young person and their family
- Work collaboratively with family members and the multidisciplinary team
- Maintain accurate and clear documentation of care and incidents
Clinical Skills & Experience (Essential)
- Epilepsy and seizure management
- Buccal midazolam administration
- Autism spectrum disorder and ADHD support
- Experience supporting individuals with learning difficulties
- Behaviour support and de-escalation techniques
- Medication administration
- Observation monitoring and escalation of concerns
Personal Qualities
