The Mexican Garden is looking for an energetic, personable and experienced Bar Person to join our growing team.
This is far more than pulling pints. We are looking for someone who enjoys engaging with customers, takes pride in creating exceptional drinks, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and helps deliver memorable experiences every day.
You'll be one of the faces of the restaurant, helping create an atmosphere that keeps customers coming back.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
- Confidently make classic and signature cocktails to a consistently high standard
- Provide friendly, engaging and professional customer service
- Create a welcoming atmosphere and build rapport with guests
- Maintain a clean, organised and fully stocked bar throughout service
- Work efficiently during busy periods while maintaining quality and speed
- Process customer orders accurately using the till system
- Monitor stock levels and report items requiring replenishment
- Ensure all licensing laws and responsible alcohol service requirements are followed
- Support table service when required during busy periods
- Assist with opening and closing procedures
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation and hygiene at all times

The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Previous experience working behind a busy bar
- Experience making cocktails confidently and consistently
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- A friendly, outgoing personality
- The ability to work calmly under pressure
- Strong attention to detail
- Good organisation and time management skills
- A positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed
- Reliability, punctuality and a strong work ethic
- A passion for hospitality and creating outstanding customer experiences
Experience in restaurants, cocktail bars, hotels or high-volume hospitality venues would be an advantage.
