About the Role:
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Storeman to join our team in Sheffield. In this hands-on role, you will be the backbone of our supply and logistics operations, ensuring that the right tools, materials, and goods are received, organized, and dispatched efficiently. Key Responsibilities:
- Goods In/Out: Unload and load delivery vehicles, inspect incoming goods for damages, and verify that deliveries match purchase orders.
- Inventory Control: Maintain accurate stock levels using our internal Inventory Management System.
- Order Preparation: Accurately pick, pack, and prepare parts and materials for internal teams and external customers.
- Store Organization: Ensure the warehouse, yard, and storage areas are kept clean, tidy, and compliant with health and safety standards.
- Stock Audits: Carry out regular stock counts to reconcile physical inventory with the computer system and report any discrepancies.
- Cross-Department Support: Liaise with purchasing, site management, and suppliers to ensure a seamless flow of materials.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience working in a stores, warehousing, or stock control position beneficial.
- A valid Forklift Truck (FLT) Licence (Counterbalance/Reach) is highly desirable but not essential.
- Basic IT literacy and comfort with using computer stock control systems.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina, as the role involves manual handling, lifting, and being on your feet.
- A full, clean UK Driving Licence.
