Production & Operations Manager
Finest Fabrication Ltd is a growing manufacturing business specialising in high-quality automotive and engineering projects. We pride ourselves on delivering precision, quality and outstanding customer service, and we're looking for an organised, proactive Production Manager to help drive our operations forward.
The Role
This is a varied, hands-on position that sits at the heart of our business. You'll be responsible for planning production, coordinating workloads, communicating with customers and suppliers, and ensuring projects progress smoothly from quotation through to delivery.
We're looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, keeping multiple projects on track, and working closely with both customers and the workshop team.
Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate production schedules.
- Create, maintain and manage Microsoft Planner project plans.
- Delegate work effectively across the workshop team.
- Monitor project progress and adjust schedules where required.
- Liaise with customers regarding existing and upcoming projects.
- Visit customers when required to discuss project requirements and progress.
- Build strong relationships with suppliers and place material orders.
- Ensure materials are available to meet production schedules.
- Work alongside management to improve production efficiency and workflow.
- Communicate daily with the fabrication team to ensure priorities are understood.
Ideally you'll have:
- Previous experience in production, manufacturing or operations management.
- Excellent organisational and planning skills.
- Experience using Microsoft Office
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- The ability to prioritise multiple projects simultaneously.
- Confidence dealing with customers, suppliers and internal teams.
- A proactive approach with good problem-solving ability.
- A full UK driving licence.
- Experience within fabrication, engineering or manufacturing.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Experience purchasing materials and managing supplier relationships.
