At the centre of London’s Mayfair, Claridge’s is a unique combination of splendour and charm, renowned for its impeccable, intuitive service. The hotel’s original art deco interiors have been interwoven with modern flourishes. It also has a famous all-day dining restaurant, the Foyer & Reading Room, and two bars: Claridge’s Bar and the intimate Fumoir.
Scope and Purpose
As a casual Waiter/waitress in our Foyer & Reading Room your duties are to provide a warm welcome, and offer a wide range of food and drink service to our guests, including our award winning afternoon tea. Other duties include; cash handling, mise en place, and beverage preparation.
You will be part of a large team and be responsible for creating memorable dining experiences to our guests staying at Claridge’s and also to our many external guests.
Entry Requirements
We are looking for a strong, motivated individual, ideally someone who has worked in a similar role within the hospitality or travel and tourism industry. The person will be a team player who is an avid learner, adaptable and has exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
Other skills that will need to be demonstrated include:
- Strong customer care skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Excellent attention to detail
- A high standard of personal presentation
- Confident, professional and welcoming personality
- Ability to deal with high profile clients in a professional manner
