Engineering Assessor

Join our expanding team as a qualified Engineering Assessor.
Principle role.
As a qualified Engineering Assessor, you would be responsible for the delivery and assessment of Engineering qualifications, ensuring learners are supported to achieve in a timely manner.
- Deliver NVQ/QCF training and assessment in line with Company and Awarding Body quality standards
- Managing the assessment procedure from planning through to making and recording assessment decisions
- Participate in Standardisation meetings/peer observations/learning walks/quality assurance checks
- Develop close working relationships with relevant College staff, ensuring all learners on your caseload are supported through their qualifications
- Develop professional relationships with learners to ensure their continued engagement on the program and successful completion of their Individual Learning Plan
- Review learners progress through 1:1 meetings and monthly/Bi monthly reviews in the training centre or workplace
- Monitor progress and adapt, responding to learning needs
- Assist with the recruitment of learners through interaction with Employers or Placement providers.
- Work as part of a team to ensure a quality learner experience
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven occupational competence and experience of working within an Engineering discipline
- Assessor Award (Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement/A1/D32 33)
- Proactive, engaging and approachable training style
- An understanding of differentiation in delivery and barriers to successful achievement
- Ability to converse in Welsh is desirable and the commitment to learn is essential
- Car owner/driver is essential.
The post holder will be required to complete an application for a Disclosure of Criminal Records.
References will be verified before employment begins.
35 hour working week.
Generous package of 32 days annual leave entitlement.
Business travel reimbursement at 45p per mile
