Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Bartender to join the team at Highland Park Bar within the Kirkwall Hotel. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests. Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with hotel standards.
- Greet guests warmly, take orders accurately, and deliver exceptional customer service throughout their visit.
- Ensure all drinks are prepared safely, adhering to food safety regulations and responsible serving practices.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and bar equipment.
- Manage cash transactions efficiently using the till system and handle payments accurately.
- Restock bar supplies as needed, monitor stock levels, and assist with inventory management.
- Engage with guests to promote specials or upcoming events, enhancing their overall experience.
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to ensure a safe environment for staff and guests.
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality or as a bartender is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates.
- Knowledge of food safety standards relevant to bar operations is advantageous.
- Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced restaurant or bar setting is desirable.
- Basic maths skills are necessary for handling transactions accurately.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods.

Pay: £10.85-£13.50 per hour
