Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter / Cleaner to join our team in maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment.
The ideal candidate will be proactive, reliable, and passionate about maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation within a busy hospitality setting. Responsibilities
- Washing and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are upheld.
- Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as directed by the kitchen team.
- Maintaining cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and storage areas within the kitchen.
- Organising and storing clean items appropriately to optimise kitchen workflow.
- Supporting the kitchen team during service periods by ensuring all areas are tidy and well-stocked.
- Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times to promote a safe working environment.
- Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures efficiently.
- Supporting other hospitality staff with general cleaning duties as required.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, or culinary practices is desirable.
- Experience working in a fast-paced hospitality setting will be beneficial.
- Familiarity with health and safety standards within a commercial kitchen is a plus.
- A proactive attitude with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail is essential for success in this role.
