Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate GP Practice Nurse to join our team on a part-time, fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave. Responsibilities
- Delivering patient care through assessments, health education, and support tailored to individual needs
- Assisting with minor illness clinics, health screenings, and chronic disease management programmes
- Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records in line with data protection regulations
- Supporting the clinical team with administrative duties as required
- Ensuring infection control standards are upheld within the practice environment
- Providing guidance and support to patients on health promotion and disease prevention strategies
Qualifications
- Registered General Nurse (RGN) with valid registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
- Proven experience in patient care within a primary care or similar healthcare setting
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to general practice nursing
- Competent in medication administration, including injections and wound care procedures
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Compassionate approach with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
