We are Hemswell Antique Centres, Europe’s largest and most successful antiques centre, and we’re looking for flexible, multi-skilled Customer Service & Sales Assistants to join our team. These roles are primarily customer-facing, and no two days are the same.
What you’ll be doing
- Delivering a warm, friendly and professional experience for all visitors
- Assisting customers on the shop floor and responding to enquiries
- Supporting sales activity, including processing transactions and promoting a positive shopping experience
- Working closely with colleagues to maintain high presentation standards
- Assisting with portering, furniture handling and movement of stock
- Helping maintain safe, tidy and well-presented customer and back-of-house areas
- Working flexibly across departments as required, both independently and as part of a friendly, hardworking team
What we’re looking for
- A positive, can-do attitude with genuine flexibility including weekend work
- Confidence in dealing with customers and delivering high standards of service
- Willingness to turn your hand to a variety of tasks and complete each to a good standard
- Pride in your work and strong attention to detail
- Ability to work well with people from all walks of life
- Previous experience in customer service is an advantage, but not essential — full training will be provided
- An interest in antiques or history would be a bonus
