Harmony is on a mission to be the best life safety partner to work with and for. Rated an ‘Outstanding Employer’ by Best Companies in 2025, we are only getting bigger and stronger — and we’re looking for A-players to help us get there.
We are passionate about making a difference and obsessed with quality. Our goal is to build a world where every resident can sleep safely at night, knowing their home is 100% safe.
We are looking for a Procurement Director to join our Building Fabric Pre-Construction team in London — taking ownership of Harmony’s supply chain strategy across our passive fire and building fabric operations. As we scale at pace, the way we procure materials, manage subcontractors, and build our supply chain has a direct impact on our ability to win work, deliver profitably, and maintain the quality our clients expect. This role exists to get that right.
You will own the full procurement function — from supplier relationships and framework agreements through to cost control, risk management, and supply chain development. This is a senior leadership role with real commercial impact at the heart of a fast-growing business.
-
Own and lead Harmony’s procurement strategy across the Building Fabric division — setting the direction for how we source materials, engage subcontractors, and manage supplier relationships at scale.
- Build, develop, and manage a preferred supplier and subcontractor framework — negotiating terms, managing performance, and ensuring Harmony has the right supply chain to deliver at pace and at quality.
- Work closely with the pre-construction and estimating teams to ensure procurement intelligence is embedded into tender pricing and project planning from the outset.
- Drive cost efficiency across the supply chain — identifying and delivering savings without compromising on quality or compliance.
- Manage procurement risk — including supply chain resilience, material availability, price volatility, and contractor capacity — and develop mitigation strategies accordingly.
- Lead supplier due diligence and onboarding processes, ensuring all subcontractors and suppliers meet Harmony’s quality, compliance, and H&S standards.
- Develop and maintain procurement data, reporting, and spend analytics to support commercial decision-making across the business.
- Work with the delivery and project management teams to resolve supply chain issues on live projects quickly and effectively.
- Build and develop the procurement team as the function grows — recruiting, mentoring, and setting standards for how procurement operates at Harmony.
- Represent Harmony externally in supplier negotiations, industry forums, and framework agreements.
-
An A-player mindset — high standards, extreme ownership and the drive to do things properly, the first time.
- Proven track record in a senior procurement or supply chain leadership role within construction, passive fire, building fabric, or a closely related discipline.
- Strong commercial negotiator — experienced in managing supplier and subcontractor frameworks at scale, with a track record of delivering cost savings and supply chain improvements.
- Deep understanding of the subcontractor and materials market relevant to passive fire protection, fire doors, firestopping, or wider building fabric works.
- Excellent analytical skills — comfortable with procurement data, spend analysis, and reporting.
- Strong stakeholder management skills — able to work effectively across pre construction, delivery, finance, and senior leadership.
- Experience building or developing a procurement function (preferable).
- CIPS qualification or equivalent (preferable).
- London-based and available full time.
