Hours: 20 hours Monday – Friday 2.00-6.00pm
At Happy Tots Day Nursery we are looking for a vibrant, organised, and genuinely warm Receptionist to be the face of our nursery. You will be tasked with creating a sanctuary of safety and kindness from the moment someone walks through our doors.
What You’ll Do
Your role is a blend of high-level customer service and essential administration. You will:
- Create the Atmosphere: Greet every parent, child, and visitor with a smile that makes them feel instantly at ease.
- Be the Gatekeeper: Manage site security by monitoring the front entrance and ensuring all visitor sign-in procedures are strictly followed.
- Master the Communication: Act as the hub for phone calls and emails, providing clear, helpful information to prospective and current families.
- Support the Magic: Assist the Nursery Manager with vital admin tasks, including enrolment paperwork, billing queries etc.
- Keep it Sparkling: Ensure the reception area remains tidy, professional, and full of the "wow factor."

You’re a "people person" through and through, but you’ve also got an eye for detail.
- Warm & Empathetic: You understand that drop-offs can be emotional for parents and you have the patience to match.
- Highly Organized: You can handle a ringing phone, a delivery driver at the door, and a child’s lost mitten—all without losing your cool.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and comfortable learning nursery management software.
- Professional: You understand the importance of confidentiality and safeguarding in an Early Years environment.
