Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Full-time Waiter/Waitress to join our vibrant hospitality team. This role offers up to 35 hours per week, providing an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing attentive service, ensuring guest satisfaction, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere in our establishment. Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is essential. A strong focus on food safety, guest services, and efficient time management are key to succeeding in this role. Interviews and trial shifts will be held in August actual starting timeline last week of August first week of September.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are accommodated
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
- Assist with setting up tables and maintaining a tidy dining area throughout service
- Handle payments accurately using the POS system and provide correct change or receipts
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and hygiene regulations
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Provide excellent guest services by responding promptly to enquiries and resolving any issues efficiently
- Assist in cleaning and resetting tables after guests depart
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation techniques is desirable
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tables simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Experience in upselling menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and revenue
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
