We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook/Chef to join our culinary team. Duties
- Prepare and cook a wide range of dishes according to recipes and quality standards
- Assist in meal planning and ingredient selection to ensure freshness and quality
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing utensils and equipment
- Follow food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods
- Serve food to customers in a professional and courteous manner when required
- Ensure all food is presented attractively and served at the correct temperature
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety regulations
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Experience working in a restaurant or similar hospitality setting is desirable
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality and hygiene
