We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering outstanding care while supporting and guiding colleagues to maintain the highest standards.
The successful candidate will work a combination of Senior Care Assistant shifts (24 hours per week) and Care Assistant shifts (12 hours per week), providing both leadership and hands-on support within the home.
What We're Looking For
We are seeking someone who:
- Has previous experience working in a residential care home.
- Has experience working as a Senior Care Assistant or is ready to step into a senior role.
- Holds a Level 3 Diploma/NVQ in Health and Social Care (preferred).
- Demonstrates excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Is confident with medication administration and record keeping.
- Has a good understanding of safeguarding, person-centred care, and regulatory standards.
- Leads by example and supports colleagues to provide exceptional care.
- Is reliable, professional, and committed to making a positive difference to residents' lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting residents with daily living activities whilst promoting independence and dignity.
- Administering medication in line with company policies and procedures.
- Leading shifts and providing guidance to the care team.
- Completing and reviewing care documentation accurately.
- Communicating effectively with residents, relatives, healthcare professionals, and colleagues.
- Reporting concerns and ensuring residents' wellbeing remains the highest priority.
- Supporting the Home Manager and Senior Team in maintaining high standards throughout the home.
Pay: £12.90-£14.15 per hour
