Job Title: Plumber / Handyperson
Main Purpose of Job:
To provide high-quality plumbing, maintenance, repair and general handyperson services to residential and commercial customers across the areas serviced by Maintain 4 Life Ltd. The role requires excellent customer service, strong practical skills, attention to detail and the ability to work independently whilst maintaining the high standards and reputation of the business.

Location/Branch: Based from our Stevenage office with travel to customer sites as needed

Operations Manager / Director
Position is Responsible For:
- Company vehicle, tools and equipment provided.
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship and customer service.
- Ensuring work is completed safely and in line with Health & Safety requirements.
- Accurate completion of job sheets, reports and customer documentation.
Length/Type of Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: £35 - £39k Depending on experience
Main Duties
Plumbing Duties
· Trace & Access
· Repairing soil stacks
· Repairing communal pipes in blocks of flats
- Carry out plumbing repairs, maintenance and installation work.
- Diagnose and repair leaks, faulty pipework, taps, toilets, showers and associated plumbing systems.
- Install and replace sanitary ware, taps, sinks, radiators and other plumbing fixtures.
- Carry out routine maintenance inspections and preventative maintenance works.
- Respond to emergency call-outs where required.
Handyperson / Property Maintenance Duties
- Carry out minor building repairs and general maintenance tasks.
- Basic carpentry repairs including doors, locks, skirting boards and shelving.
- Minor decorating and making-good works following repairs.
- Basic tiling, grouting and silicone sealing.
- Gutter clearing and external maintenance where required.
- General property maintenance and repair work.
Customer Service
- Provide a professional, courteous and friendly service at all times.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding work required and completed.
- Maintain a professional appearance and represent Maintain 4 Life Ltd positively.
- Ensure customer properties are left clean and tidy following completion of works.
Health & Safety
- Follow all company Health & Safety procedures.
- Wear appropriate PPE when required.
- Report any accidents, incidents, hazards or near misses immediately.
- Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in a safe and serviceable condition.
Administration
- Complete job sheets, timesheets and maintenance records accurately.
- Submit reports and photographs as required.
- Manage company-issued equipment responsibly.
- Maintain stock levels within company vehicles where applicable.
General
- Attend training and development sessions as required.
- Support colleagues and assist with other maintenance duties where appropriate.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties consistent with the role.
Desirable Qualifications & Skills
Essential
- Proven experience in plumbing and property maintenance.
- Good practical maintenance and repair skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Basic ability to use a mobile device in order to use the job management system (Training Provided)’
Desirable
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing or equivalent qualification.
- Water Regulations qualification.
- Experience within domestic property maintenance.
- Multi-skilled maintenance experience.
- Basic electrical maintenance knowledge.
- First Aid qualification.
- Health & Safety awareness training.
