Site Engineer
Reporting to Section Engineer / Senior Engineer
Main Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring all quality checks are carried out in accordance with the ITPs and properly
recorded.
- Submitting quality records including check sheets, site records and testing records
onto digital quality management systems
- Participation in handover process and document review process involving Quality
Team, Materials Team, Engineering Team and HS2
- Ensuring that works are accurately and clearly set out before work commences.
- Ensuring that comprehensive records of resources employed on all works are
maintained.
- Day to day work site coordination and planning to ensure the works are carried out
safely and efficiently
- Ensuring Permit to Dig, Temporary Works and other safety systems are
implemented
- Ensuring all temporary works needs are identified sufficiently early and completed
in accordance with the relevant procedures.
- Provide support, assistance, and information to other teams as necessary such
as Community Relations, Highways, and Logistics.
- Maintaining high personal standards in health and safety, including environmental
awareness and behaviour,
- Complete Observation cards / Close Calls if you observe something unsafe,
damaging to the environment & capture best practice.
Health, Safety & Environment
- Ensuring health and safety is given the highest priority in the delivery of the
works
- Be familiar with, and demonstrate commitment to the requirements of the
Health & Safety and Environmental Policies
- Ensure that the Health Safety and Environmental Policies and Procedures are
effectively communicated to the workforce and implemented · Work collaboratively with the HS2 team and other contractors, subcontractors works packages to achieve the overall project goals
The Ideal Candidate
- Degree or equivalent in Civil / Environmental Engineering or similar
- Prior experience in Civil engineering / Infrastructure projects
- Relevant CSCS Card
- Experience submitting Quality Records onto digital Quality Management systems
