Hanel Pharmacy is seeking a reliable, motivated, and detail-focused Permanent Full-Time Pharmacy Dispenser / Pharmacy Technician to join our friendly and professional team.
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering safe, accurate, and efficient dispensing services while providing excellent patient care and customer service. This position requires someone who is confident working in a busy pharmacy environment, has strong attention to detail, and is committed to maintaining high standards of pharmacy practice.
The role involves weekday working, with occasional weekend shifts as required.
Experience using RxWeb is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescriptions in accordance with healthcare professionals’ instructions.
- Prepare, label, and package prescriptions safely and efficiently while following pharmacy procedures and professional standards.
- Provide excellent customer service and confidently assist patients with over-the-counter medicines and retail products.
- Respond professionally to patient enquiries regarding medications, usage, and general pharmacy services.
- Maintain accurate dispensing records and support effective stock management.
- Work collaboratively with pharmacists and the wider pharmacy team to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Monitor stock levels, check expiry dates, and report shortages or discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and compliant dispensary and pharmacy environment.
- Support the smooth day-to-day running of the pharmacy.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Pharmacy Dispenser or Pharmacy Technician is essential.
- Experience using RxWeb is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of dispensing procedures, medication handling, and pharmacy best practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining excellent patient care.
- Strong communication skills with a friendly and professional approach.
- Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development within pharmacy practice.

Pay
£12.71 –£14.50 per hour, depending on experience.
