About the role
We’re looking for an experienced SSAS Client Specialist to join our SSAS Operations team at WBR Group.
In this senior, technical role, you’ll take ownership of a portfolio of complex SSAS clients, delivering high-quality service while acting as a subject matter expert across the team. You’ll play a key role in supporting and developing colleagues, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring excellent outcomes for both clients and the business.
What you’ll be doing
- Managing a portfolio of SSAS clients, ensuring all scheme administration is delivered accurately and on time
- Building strong relationships with clients and advisers to achieve the best outcomes
- Acting as a technical expert and key point of support for Client Associates
- Leading on complex cases, including distressed assets and regulatory events
- Supporting and upskilling colleagues through coaching and training
- Conducting quality checks, audits and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
- Contributing to process improvements, system enhancements and business efficiency
- Handling client escalations and complaints, ensuring timely and effective resolution
- Promoting and role modelling WBR’s values of Professionalism, Excellence, Empathy and Respect (PEER)
What we’re looking for
- Strong SSAS technical knowledge and experience managing complex portfolios
- Experience working in pensions administration in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to manage workloads independently and meet deadlines
- Confidence supporting, coaching and developing others
- Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with a strong client focus
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality outcomes
