We are looking for a Receptionist to join our busy but friendly team at Henfield Medical Practice. You must have excellent interpersonal skills and have a calm, helpful and friendly nature.
Shifts will be Monday 0800-1730, Tuesday 0800-1730 and Wednesday 1230-1830 . Unfortunately no other hours are available. If you unable to complete these hours please do not submit an application.
This role will provide essential reception and administration duties to the team and patients at Henfield Medical Practice.
Key Responsibilities of a Medical Receptionist:
- Work with the front of house team
- Be presentable and apply good customer service skills
- Be polite and professional on the telephone
- Be able to perform administrative tasks on computers efficiently
- Perform duties diligently and accurately
Key Activities and accountabilities:
1. Meeting and greeting patients and visitors to the surgery
2. Making appointments with doctors and practice nurses
3. Answering the telephone, dealing with patient queries
4. Accurately enter clinical data directly on patient records
5. Processing repeat prescriptions
6. Processing workflow (medical communication system)
7. Carrying out general administrative tasks as part of a flexible team to ensure the smooth running of a busy Medical Centre
8. Completing medical notes summarisation as required
9. To be accountable for accuracy, data protection and confidentiality in all areas of the work
10. To attend appropriate training to update and maintain skills
Due to the nature of our business we are unfortunately unable to accommodate school hours only shifts.
Practice Details - Henfield Medical Centre has 3 Partners and 4 Salaried GPs with a patient list size of approximately 10,100. We are a training and dispensing practice of a mainly rural area and has a growing population due to local development. We offer a range of primary care services. We operate from well equipped, purpose built premises. We employ a team of nurses, including an Advanced Nurse Practitioner and a Nurse Practitioner as well as Health Care Assistants offering phlebotomy and health clinics.
