Job Summary
PrimeFix is looking for a skilled and motivated Plumber / Leak Detection Engineer to join our growing team.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for locating, diagnosing, and repairing water leaks in residential properties using modern leak detection equipment and proven plumbing techniques. You’ll work independently and as part of a professional team, delivering high-quality workmanship and outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities
- Carry out water leak detection surveys using acoustic listening devices, thermal imaging cameras, tracer gas, moisture meters, and pressure testing equipment
- Accurately diagnose and locate hidden leaks in domestic and commercial plumbing, heating, and water distribution systems
- Carry out repairs to pipework, valves, fittings, sanitary ware, and heating systems to a high standard
- Travel to job sites across London and the surrounding areas using the company-provided van
- Communicate findings and recommended repairs clearly and professionally to customers on site
- Complete digital job reports for each visit, including photographs and supporting documentation
- Plan and manage your own workload to complete jobs efficiently and to a high standard
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times, both on-site and while operating equipment
- Maintain and look after the company van and specialist equipment provided
Experience
- Proven experience in water leak detection, plumbing, or both (commercial or residential settings)
- Hands-on experience using specialist leak detection equipment — acoustic listening devices, thermal imaging cameras, tracer gas, moisture meters, and pressure testing equipment
- Practical experience diagnosing and repairing pipework, valves, fittings, sanitary ware, and heating systems
- Experience working independently and managing your own job schedule across multiple sites
- Experience completing digital job reports or using job management apps (photos, notes, documentation)
- Previous self-employed or subcontractor experience is an advantage, but not essential

Pay: £49.50-£90.00 per hour
