We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and motivated Pharmacy Assistant to join our established community pharmacy team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people and would like to develop valuable healthcare and customer service skills.
The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the pharmacy and delivering excellent service to our patients and customers. Working as part of a close-knit team, the role will involve supporting both the dispensary and shop floor.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Greeting and assisting patients and customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Answering telephone enquiries and supporting patient requests
- Assisting with the dispensing process under the guidance of trained pharmacy staff
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the pharmacy
- Supporting stock management and retail operations
- Helping with the day-to-day activities involved in running a community pharmacy
We welcome applications from enthusiastic individuals, including gap year students looking to gain experience in a healthcare environment. Previous pharmacy experience is desirable but not essential, as full training and ongoing support will be provided.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn. A good command of spoken and written English is essential, and additional language skills would be an advantage in supporting our diverse patient community.
Flexibility is required, as the role involves shift work, including some weekends.
If you are passionate about helping people, enjoy working as part of a team, and would like to gain experience in a rewarding healthcare setting, we would love to hear from you.
