Job Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sample Room Operative to join our busy Sample Room team at Westex Flooring.
This is a varied, hands-on role involving the production, finishing, and dispatch of carpet samples. Previous experience using sewing machines is essential. Full training will be provided across all other areas of the Sample Room, enabling the successful candidate to become a fully integrated member of the team.
Duties include (but are not limited to):
- Operating sewing machines.
- Operating whipping machines.
- Producing and finishing carpet samples.
- Operating machinery including:
- Roll-up table.
- Baling machine.
- Cutting tables.
- Heat tunnel.
- Building Point of Sale (POS) displays.
- General Sample Room duties.
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping, health & safety and quality standards.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience using sewing machines.
- Good attention to detail.
- Ability to work accurately and to a high standard.
- Good organisational skills.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Desirable
- Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Experience working with textiles or flooring products.

Pay: £13.46 per hour
