Duties
- Deliver tailored tutoring sessions in English and Maths, focusing on exam-specific skills and core concepts
- Assess students’ strengths and areas for improvement through regular evaluations and adapt lessons accordingly
- Create engaging lesson plans that motivate students and promote active participation
- Support students in developing effective study techniques and exam strategies
- Maintain clear communication with parents or guardians regarding student progress and achievements
- Track student progress meticulously, recording milestones and areas needing further attention
- Foster a positive, encouraging learning environment that boosts confidence and enthusiasm for learning
Qualifications
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, particularly with children or young learners
- Strong knowledge of English and Maths curriculum relevant to the 11 Plus exams
- Experience working with children, including those with special educational needs, is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills to clearly convey concepts and motivate students
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning styles and needs
- Passionate about education, with a proactive approach to student development
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in teaching, tutoring, or special education are advantageous but not essential
Pay: From £15.00 per hour
