Job Summary
We are seeking a professional HGV Class 2 Tipper Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a tipper lorry to deliver materials efficiently and safely across various sites. This role requires a strong focus on safety, reliability, and excellent driving skills. Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class 2 tipper lorry to transport materials to designated locations.
- Ensure all deliveries are completed on time whilst maintaining high standards of safety and compliance.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks, including inspections of the tipper mechanism and overall vehicle condition.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials as required, ensuring proper handling and securement.
- Maintain accurate records of journeys, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance logs.
- Follow all road traffic regulations and company policies during transportation activities.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding schedules, delays, or issues encountered on the road.
- Keep the vehicle clean and well-maintained to ensure operational efficiency.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with HGV Class 2 vehicles.
- Delivery driver experience is highly desirable, demonstrating reliability and punctuality.
- Familiarity with flatbed or similar specialised vehicles is advantageous but not essential.
- Knowledge of safe driving practices and current road regulations within the UK.
- Ability to handle physical tasks associated with loading/unloading materials safely.
- A valid driver’s licence for HGV Class 2 vehicles is essential, with a clean driving record preferred.
