At Sandiway Manor, we are committed to delivering compassionate, high-quality care to those who need it most. We are currently looking for a Nights Medication Healthcare Assistant to join our dedicated care team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely administering medications to residents in line with the home's policies and legal guidelines. In addition to medication duties, you will assist with general care tasks, promote resident wellbeing, and help maintain a safe, comfortable living environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with medication administration following prescribed care plans and protocols
- Support residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Maintain accurate records of medication and care activities using IT systems
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality care
- Contribute to creating a safe and comfortable environment for all residents
Requirements
- Proven experience or interest in working within a care home or home care environment
- Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Basic IT literacy for record keeping and communication purposes
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required
- Strong organisational skills with an attention to detail in managing medication schedules
- Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills to support residents’ needs effectively
