Overview
We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic individual to join our team in our friendly village non profit social club. You will be responsible for assisting with food preparation, cooking, and maintaining high standards of food safety.
Working with our club manager in this new role, you will help us improve our food offering and menu choices. As our food offerring increases there may be more hours available as we scale up.
We are open to applicants from a variety of background and open to exploring flexible options to will match the skillset of the right candidate.
This position requires working on Friday, Saturdays and Sundays, including some evenings on those days and others.
Duties
- Preparing ingredients and cooking various dishes
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently to ensure a safe working environment for all staff members
- Stock control
Skills
- Experience in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen work
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Previous experience in a pub or restaurant is advantageous
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
Pay: From £12.25 per hour
