We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our vibrant care home team. Duties
- Deliver personalized care to residents, assisting with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, mobility, and medication management in accordance with care plans.
- Supervise and support junior care staff, providing guidance, training, and mentorship to ensure consistent high standards of care delivery.
- Lead the development and review of individual care plans, ensuring they reflect residents’ changing needs and preferences.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and team members to coordinate care and address concerns promptly.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care activities, incidents, and observations using IT systems designed for health records management.
- Support residents’ social engagement by encouraging participation in activities that promote mental and physical well-being.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and infection control procedures at all times.
- Medication administration
Experience
- Proven experience working in a care home environment with older adults or in senior care settings.
- Supervising or leadership experience within a healthcare or social care context is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of creating and implementing care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with residents, families, colleagues, and external professionals.
- Ability to use IT systems for record keeping and reporting purposes efficiently.
- Demonstrated understanding of safeguarding procedures and health & safety regulations relevant to senior care.

Pay: £13.75-£20.62 per hour
Expected hours: 36.0 – 48.0 per week
