Brick Kiln Garden Centre Restaurant is looking for an experienced Chef de Party/Line Cook to join our kitchen team in a stable, long-term role.
The Garden Restaurant within Brick Kiln Garden Centre is a light and airy space with a partially open kitchen that has been recently renovated and is regularly updated with new equipment.
About the Role
We are a daytime-only operation serving simple, honest food, made from scratch daily.
We’re not looking for fireworks. We’re looking for a calm, reliable chef who delivers a high standard every service and strengthens the team.
This is an ideal role for an experienced chef who wants to cook great food in a spacious, well-equipped kitchen, and maintain a better work-life balance than most chef roles offer.
As a Line Cook, you will run your section with a consistently high baseline, supporting a friendly and professional team to keep service smooth and food delicious.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook dishes to a high standard, ensuring consistency and quality
- Work efficiently with the team to maintain speed of service during busy periods
- Follow food hygiene and safety regulations to ensure a clean and compliant kitchen
- Support the Head Chef and team as required, adapting to different kitchen needs
What We’re Looking For
Reliability and consistency come first: punctual, organised, calm under pressure, and a clean worker who takes pride in getting the basics right, every time.
- Experience as a Line Cook, Chef de Partie, or similar role in a busy kitchen
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Knowledge of food hygiene, safety, and best kitchen practices
- A flexible, team-first approach with the ability to step in as needed
- Passion for quality food and excellent service
- This role includes weekends (rota-based). If you cannot work most weekends, please don’t apply.
