Using shot blasting type equipment, Dry Ice Cleaning is a unique cleaning process that uses dry ice (made from liquified CO2) as a substitute for sand/grit/water in a high-pressure cleaning process that leaves minimal dry residue after cleaning.
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the safe and professional delivery of dry ice cleaning services at customer sites across a defined regional or national area together with at our site in Cannington. Operating specialist CO₂-based cleaning equipment, the post-holder will carry out cleaning, decontamination, and surface preparation tasks across a range of industries including food processing, manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, printing, and energy/utilities.

The role requires a highly self-motivated individual who can work independently, maintain technical equipment to a high standard, and represent the company in a professional manner at all times.
Responsibilities
- Conduct daily pre-use checks on dry ice blasting units, hoses, blast guns, compressors, and associated ancillary equipment.
- Maintain company vehicle in a clean, roadworthy condition and within legal compliance (licencing, MOT, servicing schedules).
- Report equipment faults, defects, or near-misses promptly to the line manager or workshop team.
- Restock consumables (dry ice, PPE, cleaning agents) in advance of jobs and manage inventory levels carried in the service vehicle.
- Act as the primary on-site representative of the company, maintaining a professional, courteous, and solutions-focused approach with all customers.
- Liaise with customer contacts before, during, and after jobs to ensure expectations are managed and satisfaction is achieved.
- Complete accurate job sheets, service reports, time records, and photographic evidence for each assignment (pre- and post-clean).
- Submit daily job reports, timesheets, and expense claims in a timely and accurate manner using company systems (paper or digital).
- Provide feedback to the Field Operations Manager regarding additional customer needs, site conditions, or potential upsell opportunities.
- Work is carried out in varied environments including food factories, historic buildings, marinas, power stations, automotive plants and print works.
- Conditions may include working in confined spaces, at height and in sensitive locations.
- Overnight stays away from home may be required depending on job location.
Skills & Attributes
· Relevant experience is considered beneficial however, comprehensive training will be provided.
· Full UK driving license (clean preferred; max 3 points)
- Strong customer-facing and communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Understanding of COSHH, RAMS, and permit to work systems
- Experience working in food processing, manufacturing, or industrial environments
- The post-holder must be physically fit, capable of sustained manual work, and comfortable with extended periods of standing, kneeling, and working in restricted positions.
- A DBS check and security vetting may be required for certain site clearances.
- Forklift truck license and experience would be beneficial however training will be provided on completion of the probationary period.
Pay: £31,000.00 per year
