Mechanical Test Engineer
Location: Witney
Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week

About Us
FloFuel Support Ltd designs and manufactures aircraft refuelling vehicles for major airports worldwide. We also provide servicing, repairs, and calibration of refuelling equipment across the UK and Ireland for both commercial and private airfields.
Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit a Mechanical Test Engineer to join our team at our Witney manufacturing facility.
The Role
Working closely with our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for assembling, testing, calibrating, and inspecting equipment before delivery to customers. You will ensure all systems meet our high standards of quality, safety, and performance.
The role will primarily be factory-based, with occasional travel to customer sites and airports across the UK to support our field service engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the assembly, testing, and commissioning of aircraft refuelling systems.
- Carry out full functional testing and fault finding.
- Perform equipment calibration and pre-delivery inspections (PDI).
- Assist with maintenance and servicing activities when required.
- Complete inspection reports and test documentation.
- Support site visits and commissioning activities across the UK.
About You
We are interested in candidates with a strong mechanical engineering background. Applications are welcomed from those with experience in:
- Plant machinery
- HGV maintenance
- Agricultural machinery
- Military/ex-forces engineering roles
- Industrial or mechanical engineering environments
The successful candidate will be practical, hands-on, and capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
Essential Requirements
- Mechanical engineering experience.
- Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Willingness to travel occasionally throughout the UK.
- Ability to obtain airport security clearances.
Additional Requirements
The successful candidate will be required to undertake:
- Medical assessment
- Confined space training (tank entry inspection and cleaning)
- DBS background checks
