SR Drivers are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 2 (Category C) Drivers to support a well-established manufacturing and transport operation based in Coventry (CV5).
This role offers consistent Monday to Friday day shifts with no weekend work, making it an excellent opportunity for experienced Class 2 drivers looking for reliable weekday driving work with a well-organised transport operation.
The role involves multi-drop deliveries across England, Wales and parts of Scotland, delivering both palletised and loose-loaded goods.
Pay Rates
Choose how you receive your holiday entitlement:
£14.50 per hour PAYE
Holiday entitlement accrued separately.
OR
£16.25 per hour PAYE – inclusive of 12.07% holiday pay
Holiday pay included within your hourly rate.
Weekly PAYE pay.
Wage slips are issued via email on Thursdays.
The Role
As an HGV Class 2 Driver, your duties will include:
- Completing multi-drop deliveries across England, Wales and parts of Scotland
- Completing approximately 1–17 drops per day, depending on the route and delivery schedule
- Delivering palletised and loose-loaded goods
- Loading and unloading the vehicle as required
- Completing delivery paperwork accurately and on time
- Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks
- Maintaining accurate delivery records and driving logs
- Communicating with transport planners, dispatchers and customers
- Reporting any delays, vehicle defects or delivery issues
- Following drivers' hours, Working Time Directive and road safety regulations
- Maintaining a professional and reliable approach while representing the client

Driver Requirements
Please note: due to client requirements, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Valid UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licence
- Valid Driver CPC
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Minimum 2 years' proven HGV Class 2 driving experience
- Must be confident driving a manual rigid vehicle
- Previous multi-drop driving experience preferred
- Comfortable with the physical requirements of loading and unloading goods
- Good knowledge of road safety and drivers' hours regulations
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Professional and reliable approach to work
- Flexibility to work early morning start times
