We are currently looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager to join our team.
For a background on the Swan,
The Swan is a 15th Century Pub that underwent a big refurbishment from 2021-2023.
It Reopened in November 2023 with new state of the art facilities including,
A new bar area with 20 draft beers from around the world, A brewery which is to be installed in early 2027 & A new kitchen with a view to further expand next year.
Over the last 2 years we’ve undergone a soft launch whilst slowly improving our general offering and we are now at a turning point
Last year we came 48th in the Good Food Guide Top 100 Pubs & hope to do better this year!
In April we launched our Bakery “Cygnet” which is open Friday, Saturday & Sunday.
We’re now up to a team of 8 Chefs with some having worked at some top London Restaurants.
Our Dining capacity varies between Summer & Winter from 70 covers inside to 200+ outside.
Going forward we're looking for a talented individual with a keen eye for detail and to carry forward the values we hold.
As a Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our Food Operation ensuring excellent customer service and maintaining high standards of food quality and safety. If you have a passion for the culinary arts, strong leadership skills, and a desire to create memorable dining experiences, we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the Pubs food operations.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain food safety standards
- Train and supervise staff members to deliver exceptional customer service
- Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and profitability
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to create innovative menu items and ensure efficient food production
- Oversee the dining area to ensure cleanliness and a welcoming atmosphere
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional manner
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Conduct regular performance evaluations for staff members
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in restaurant management or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Culinary background or experience is preferred but not required
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
